what we keep, and what we do not
Your privacy
Short version: the site keeps very little, and it does not keep what you type into the chat.
What stays in your browser
The site itself remembers three things on your device: that you confirmed you are a clinician, that you have seen the Ask Spencer teaser, and, if you arrived through a clinic link, which clinic sent you. The first two use local storage, and the clinician confirmation also sets a cookie as a fallback when storage is blocked. The clinic cookie lasts 90 days.
None of these hold your name, your email, or anything you typed. When analytics is enabled, PostHog keeps one more item in local storage, described under Analytics.
Ask Spencer
Your chat messages are sent to Anthropic to generate each answer. This site does not store them.
Forms
When you send the partner or pricing form, the details you enter are emailed to Spencer through Resend. They go nowhere else, and they are used to reply to you.
Analytics
When enabled, analytics run through PostHog and stay privacy-first. They count page views and a short list of named events, such as a calculator result or a click on Book a call. They never include what you type, there is no session recording, and there is no autocapture. Each page view records the address of the page you are on. To tell repeat visits apart, PostHog keeps a random anonymous visitor ID and its event state in your browser's local storage. The ID is not linked to your name or email, and clearing site data removes it.
